Barker Bill's Trick Shooting is one of those NES light-gun games that feels like a carnival booth come to life. You get four different shooting modes, each with its own weird little challenges—like popping balloons while they drift across the screen or taking out targets that pop up in weird patterns. The whole thing’s got this old-timey cartoon vibe, which makes sense since it’s based on some 1950s show.
What I like is how it’s not just mindless shooting—some targets give you bonus points if you hit them in a certain order, and others move in ways that actually make you think for half a second. The music’s got that bouncy, ragtime feel that sticks in your head way longer than it should. It’s not the deepest game out there, but it’s a solid way to kill half an hour if you’ve got a Zapper and a CRT TV handy.
