Banishing Racer (japan) Game

Banishing Racer is one of those weird little Game Boy racers that feels like it got lost in translation. You're basically a futuristic cop chasing down rogue vehicles through these blocky, neon-lit cityscapes—kinda like a stripped-down F-Zero but with more emphasis on ramming criminals off the road.
The controls take a second to click—you’ve got this awkward drift mechanic where tapping left or right too hard sends you spinning. Once you get the hang of it though, there’s something satisfying about barely scraping past traffic and shoving enemy cars into walls. The music’s got that classic Game Boy techno vibe, all bleeps and bloops that somehow make the jank feel intentional.
It’s not exactly deep, but for a 10-minute burst of retro chaos, it’s got its charm. Just don’t expect anything close to modern racing polish.
