Bananan Ouji No Daibouken (japan) Game

Okay, so Bananan Ouji no Daibouken (or Banana Prince in Germany) is one of those weird, late-era NES platformers that never made it to the US. You play as this little dude with a banana-shaped head—yeah, really—jumping through colorful, slightly surreal levels with some surprisingly tight controls.
The German version tweaked some sprites (probably to make it less... Japanese?), but either way, it’s got that classic KID studio vibe—quirky, a bit floaty, but with hidden depth. First level throws you into a jungle with these bouncy mushrooms, and before long, you’re riding giant snails or dodging fruit-themed enemies. It’s not hard, but some of the later stages get sneaky with their platforming.
If you’re into obscure Famicom gems, this one’s a fun oddity. Just don’t question the banana aesthetic too much.
