Bakuretsu Senshi Warrior (japan) Game

Bakuretsu Senshi Warrior is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that never left Japan. It's a turn-based strategy RPG where you control a squad of mechs—sort of like a stripped-down Front Mission, but with chunky pixel art and way more explosions. The first few missions ease you in, but don't get too comfortable; the enemy AI loves flanking your guys when you least expect it.
Picking your loadout before battle is half the fun. Do you go full firepower and risk getting outmaneuvered, or play it safe with balanced units? I learned the hard way that leaving your sniper exposed is a bad idea. The music's got that classic Game Boy synth vibe, all bleeps and bloops that somehow make blowing up robots even more satisfying.
It's rough around the edges (translation patches help), but there's something charming about its clunky, explosive tactics. Just watch out for mission 5—that one's brutal.
