Bakenou TV '94 is one of those weird little Game Boy titles that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this bizarre charm. You’re basically flipping through a fake TV channel lineup, clicking on weird shows and mini-games that range from trivia to... honestly, I’m still not sure what some of them are supposed to be. The pixel art has that rough early-90s vibe, and the music’s catchy in a "this was definitely made on a budget" kind of way.
It’s not deep, but there’s something oddly satisfying about stumbling through menus in broken Japanese just to see what weirdness pops up next. If you’re into retro oddities, this one’s a fun time capsule.
