Back to the Future 2 and 3 on NES is basically what happens when you take Super Mario Bros. and slap a DeLorean on it. You play as Marty McFly jumping on enemies and chucking whatever you can find—mostly records, for some reason—while collecting random junk scattered across time. First level’s all about 1985A, where you’re hunting down 30 misplaced items to stop Biff from turning into a casino tycoon. It’s weirdly satisfying when you finally grab that last one.

Then it shifts to 1885 for the second stage, which is way shorter—only 10 items this time—but way harder because now you’re dodging cowboys and stagecoaches. The whole thing feels like a fever dream, especially when you realize Doc Brown’s train is your ticket home. The controls are a little stiff, but if you grew up with NES platformers, you’ll muscle through it. Definitely a nostalgia trip for Back to the Future fans, even if it’s not the best game out there.
