About Baby T-rex
Baby T-Rex came out for the Game Boy in 1994 from Visco Corporation. It was part of that wave of platformers that filled the library, the kind you'd find in a bargain bin or trade with a friend. The game puts you in control of a small, blue Tyrannosaurus rex on a quest to rescue its parent from a caveman.
You guide the dinosaur through side scrolling levels, jumping on platforms and headbutting enemies. The main goal is straightforward: get from the start of each stage to the end. A few mechanics stand out. You can collect eggs scattered through the levels, which act as a health system; taking damage causes you to lose them. Some stages feature mine cart sections that change the pace, demanding quicker reflexes. The difficulty is consistent, not overly punishing but requiring attention to enemy patterns and jumps. Playing it feels like a simple, methodical challenge, a quiet test of timing on a small screen.
