About B.c. Kid 2 (europe)
B.C. Kid 2 came out in Europe for the Game Boy in 1993, published by Hudson Soft. It was part of that wave of early 90s platformers that tried to squeeze big, colorful adventures onto the small screen. You control a little caveman named Bonk, the same character from the TurboGrafx-16 games, on another quest to rescue his kidnapped cave-pal.
You guide Bonk through side-scrolling levels, headbutting enemies and bouncing off their skulls. Your main goal is to fight through prehistoric landscapes, from jungles to icy caves, to reach the final boss. His signature moves are his powerful headbutt attack and the ability to temporarily transform after eating certain pieces of meat; one makes you invincible, while another lets you break otherwise indestructible blocks. The game is known for its brisk pacing and a difficulty that feels fair but demands precise jumps. It feels satisfying to master the rhythm of bouncing around and clearing each screen of enemies.
