Atlantis no Nazo is one of those NES games that feels like it was designed to make you question your life choices. It's a brutal platformer where you jump between floating islands, dodge weird enemies, and try to make sense of the bizarre level layouts—half the time, you'll swear the game's just messing with you.
You play as this little dude in a red jumpsuit, and right from the start, nothing makes sense. Doors teleport you to random places, some platforms vanish if you hesitate, and good luck figuring out where to go without trial and error. The music’s oddly catchy though, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about finally stumbling into the right path after a dozen deaths.
If you like punishing old-school games that feel like they hate you, this one’s a cult classic for a reason.
