Army Men Sarge on N64 is that weirdly satisfying mix of toy soldiers and real-time strategy. You’re Sarge, leading a squad of green plastic troops against the evil Tan Army—basically, your childhood action figures coming to life with guns. The missions start simple—blow up a bridge, rescue a hostage—but things get chaotic fast when enemy tanks roll in or you realize you’re low on ammo.
The graphics are blocky (it’s N64, after all), but there’s something charming about watching tiny plastic men explode into little green shards. The controls take a minute to get used to—switching between units feels clunky at first—but once you’re in, it’s hard not to get sucked into the absurdity of it all. Just don’t expect deep tactical depth; this is more about blowing stuff up with toy soldiers than careful planning.
If you ever staged army men battles on your living room floor as a kid, this game hits that same dumb-fun nostalgia.
