Armorines - Project S.W.A.R.M. (G) game

Armorines on N64 is one of those late-90s shooters that somehow makes fighting giant bugs feel both ridiculous and kinda awesome. You're strapped into this powered armor suit blasting away at swarms of alien insects—some are tiny and annoying, others are tank-sized nightmares that take half your ammo to bring down. The first mission drops you right into it: your HUD's blinking, your squad's yelling, and suddenly you're backpedaling while spraying fire at these skittering things coming from every direction.

What saves it from being just another corridor shooter is the co-op. Playing with a buddy turns the chaos into something way more fun—you can actually coordinate flanks instead of just panic-firing at everything that moves. The levels open up a bit later too, with some outdoor areas where you get to use jetpacks (badly at first, obviously). It's janky in that classic N64 way, but there's something satisfying about the chunky weapon sounds and the way bugs explode into green goo. Just don't expect a story deeper than "shoot the hive mind before it eats Earth."

If you ever rented this as a kid and ran out of time before beating it, now's your chance for revenge.
