If you've ever wanted to experience two arcade legends in their portable, slightly-squished Game Boy form, this cartridge's got you covered. Defender still feels frantic as hell—you're zipping across a tiny screen blasting aliens before they abduct your helpless humans. Meanwhile, Joust is just as weirdly satisfying as ever, bouncing around on a giant bird and trying to knock knights off theirs.

The graphics are obviously simpler than the arcade originals, but there's something charming about how they made it work on the Game Boy's pea-green screen. Defender's controls take a minute to get used to (reverse button still throws me off), but once it clicks, you'll be hooked on chasing that high score. Joust is easier to pick up, though good luck not getting ganged up on by those sneaky enemy riders.

Honestly, it's a solid way to kill time if you're into retro stuff—just don't expect any fancy extras. These are straight-up ports, no frills. Perfect for bus rides or when you just wanna zone out with some old-school chaos.
