About Another Bible (japan)
Another Bible came out in 1995 for the Game Boy, developed and published by Atlus. It was part of that wave of late-era black cartridge games that tried to do something more complex on the handheld, a turn based strategy RPG set in the Megami Tensei universe. You don't see many games like it on the system.
You control a small party of characters, moving them on grid based maps screen by screen. Your main goal is to guide your units through monster infested dungeons and story events, engaging in tactical combat. Signature mechanics include recruiting defeated monsters to fight for you and fusing them together to create new, more powerful allies. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can be steep, demanding careful positioning and resource management. It feels like solving a dangerous, moving puzzle with every new encounter.
