Another Bible is one of those weird, obscure Megami Tensei spin-offs that somehow ended up on the Game Boy. It’s a strategy RPG where you recruit and fuse demons—classic SMT stuff—but crammed into this tiny, grid-based battlefield. The sprites are chunky, the menus are cramped, and yeah, it’s all in Japanese (unless you’re playing the fan translation).
At first, it feels like a stripped-down Fire Emblem with demons, but there’s something oddly satisfying about shuffling your little monster squad around and watching them tear into enemies. The fusion system’s here too, though way simpler than later games. Don’t expect Persona-level depth, but if you’re into retro SMT quirks, it’s a neat time capsule.
Just don’t blame me when you get stuck trying to decipher kanji in the item menu.
