This Game Boy port of Alien vs Predator is way more impressive than it has any right to be. You play as the last surviving Predator (yes, the one with the dreadlocks and shoulder cannon) fighting through dark, claustrophobic corridors packed with xenomorphs. The sprites are chunky but surprisingly detailed—you can actually see the Predator's mandibles twitch when he's low on health.
It's got that classic side-scrolling beat 'em up feel, but with way more gore than you'd expect from a handheld game. The first level throws you right into a hive, smashing facehuggers with your wrist blades before taking on a full-grown alien. Pro tip: save your plasma caster shots for the bigger enemies—ammo's scarce, and those things hit like a truck.
It's Japan-only, but the action speaks for itself. Just don't expect the SNES version's visuals.
