Okay, so Alien 3 on Game Boy is way more intense than you'd expect from a tiny gray cartridge. You start off in this claustrophobic space station—just you, a motion tracker, and a whole lot of dark corridors. The pixel art somehow makes the aliens even creepier when they burst out of vents.
Controls are simple (run, shoot, pray), but the tension is real. That motion tracker beeping faster as something gets closer? Pure panic fuel. And yeah, you’ll die a lot—ammo’s scarce, and those facehuggers love ambushes. But nailing a perfect flamethrower shot on a charging xenomorph? Worth every Game Over.
It’s janky in that classic Game Boy way, but if you grew up with the movies, this nails the vibe better than it has any right to. Just don’t play it in the dark.
