Alien 3 on Game Boy is one of those weird little isometric puzzlers that feels like it shouldn’t work but somehow does. You’re dropped into this claustrophobic maze of vents and corridors, trying to outsmart xenomorphs with nothing but your wits and a motion tracker. The perspective takes some getting used to—you’ll bump into walls at first—but once it clicks, there’s something oddly satisfying about luring aliens into traps or sneaking past them in the shadows.
It’s not exactly fast-paced, more like a tense game of chess where one wrong move means getting facehugged. The pixel art nails the atmosphere, too—everything’s cramped and dimly lit, just like being stuck on a doomed space station should feel. If you’ve got patience for trial-and-error stealth, it’s a neat little hidden gem from the Game Boy’s library.
