Okay, so Aladdin On GB is one of those Game Boy ports that actually holds up. You start off jumping over market stalls in Agrabah—those 8-bit sprites somehow make the chaos feel alive, and the music’s weirdly catchy for something this pixelated. The rope-swinging mechanic’s a little janky at first, but once you get the timing down, it’s satisfying as heck.
Jafar’s goons pop up everywhere, and the gem collecting gives you just enough reason to explore without slowing things down. The Genie’s lamp power-ups are a nice touch—feels like they squeezed in as much of the movie’s magic as the hardware could handle. If you’ve got nostalgia for either Disney or classic platformers, this one’s a solid time capsule.
