About Aladdin (europe)
I remember picking up Aladdin for the Game Boy back in 1994, a release from NMS Software. It was one of many Disney platformers from that era, a time when licensed games were a common sight on the handheld. This version offered its own take on the film's story, separate from the more famous console releases.
You control Aladdin, navigating him screen by screen through Agrabah and the Cave of Wonders. Your main goal is to rescue Princess Jasmine from Jafar. You use a sword to fight guards and creatures, and you spend a lot of time jumping across platforms and collecting apples to restore health. The game moves at a deliberate pace, with some tricky jumps and enemy placements that can make it quite challenging. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes demanding quest from start to finish.
