Akumajou Special - Boku Dracula-kun is this weird, hilarious little NES gem where you play as Dracula’s kid trying to take back his kingdom from some demon jerk. It’s basically Castlevania if it got turned into a Saturday morning cartoon—you’ve got floating eyeballs, bouncing pumpkins, and a quiz show hosted by the Statue of Liberty (yeah, really).
Don’t let the cute chibi sprites fool you, though. Some of those jumps are brutal, and the bosses love cheap shots. I died way too many times figuring out the timing on those moving platforms. But the goofy charm makes it worth the pain—where else can you fight a giant sushi roll or a sumo onion?
Konami clearly had fun with this one. It’s short, weird, and surprisingly tough for a parody game.
