About Airwolf (japan)
Airwolf for the Nintendo Entertainment System came out in 1987 from the developer Kyugo Boueki. It was one of many shooters on the platform, a straightforward adaptation of the helicopter from the television series.
You pilot the Airwolf helicopter through side scrolling stages, shooting down enemy aircraft and ground targets. Your main goal is to survive each level, navigating canyons and military bases while managing your limited fuel supply. Two key mechanics are using a speed boost for quick escapes and collecting power ups to upgrade your main cannon. The game moves at a fast pace and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding sharp reflexes to dodge incoming fire. Playing it feels like a constant, tense race against depletion and enemy swarms.
