Airboarder 64 is basically what you’d get if someone mashed together a hoverboard and an N64 racing game—and honestly, it works. You pick from a handful of weirdly cool characters (my go-to was the dude with the neon dreads) and hit these wild, looping tracks that feel like they were designed by someone who really loved roller coasters.
The hoverboards handle like a mix between a snowboard and a jet ski—loose but fast, so you’re constantly tweaking your balance mid-air. And yeah, you will wipe out a lot at first. The later courses get brutal, with jumps that practically dare you to overshoot and land in the void. But nailing a perfect trick combo over a gap? That’s the good stuff.
It’s got that classic N64 jank—some textures look like they were slapped on with glue—but the speed and sheer chaos of races make up for it. Just don’t expect Mario Kart-level polish.
