I remember picking up Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle for the NES back in 1992. It was published by THQ, one of those many licensed games that tried to capture a cartoon's spirit on the 8-bit console. The game puts you in the shoes of the moose and squirrel duo, Rocky and Bullwinkle, as they chase after Boris and Natasha, who have stolen artifacts from the Frostbite Falls museum.

You control either Rocky or Bullwinkle, switching between them to navigate side-scrolling levels. Your main goal is to recover the stolen items by moving screen by screen, avoiding enemies and environmental hazards. Bullwinkle walks and jumps, while Rocky can fly for a short time, which lets you reach different platforms. You collect acorns to use as projectiles, and you also find bonus stages featuring other characters from the show, like Dudley Do-Right. The game moves at a steady pace, but some jumps and enemy patterns can be tricky, making it a decent challenge. Playing it feels like a straightforward, cartoon-inspired adventure from that era.
