Adventures Of Pinocchio, The (proto) Game

Ever stumble across a weird Game Boy prototype that never got a proper release? That's Adventures of Pinocchio—a side-scroller where you play as the wooden boy himself, jumping over pits and bopping enemies with… well, whatever he can find. It’s janky in that classic early-90s way, with stiff controls and some questionable hitboxes, but there’s something oddly charming about it.
You start in Geppetto’s workshop, then quickly get tossed into this surreal, slightly off-model version of the story. The graphics are rough, but the music’s got that nostalgic Game Boy chiptune vibe. Honestly, it feels like playing a lost episode of a Saturday morning cartoon that got canceled after two weeks.
If you’re into obscure retro curiosities, this one’s a neat little time capsule. Just don’t expect a polished masterpiece.
