Okay, so Adventures of Pinocchio on Game Boy is one of those weirdly charming licensed games from the '90s. You play as the little wooden troublemaker himself, jumping across platforms, dodging obstacles, and collecting coins (which, let’s be honest, feels ironic given the whole "lying makes your nose grow" thing).

The sprites are surprisingly detailed for a Game Boy title—Geppetto’s workshop actually looks cozy, and the Fox and Cat pop up as enemies, which is a nice touch. Some levels drag a bit with repetitive platforming, but the music’s got that bouncy, slightly off-key charm that sticks in your head. Also, no lie: watching Pinocchio’s nose extend when you take damage never gets old.

It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re into retro platformers or just want something lighthearted, it’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect it to magically turn into a masterpiece overnight.
