This Game Boy version of The Addams Family is a weird little platformer where you play as Gomez—top hat, mustache, and all—jumping through graveyards and haunted mansions. It’s based on the movie, but don’t expect a direct retelling. Mostly, you’re just trying to stop that sleazy lawyer Tully from ruining everything.

The controls are a bit stiff (typical for early Game Boy), but there’s something charming about bouncing on spiderwebs and dodging floating hands. Some of the level designs are surprisingly creative, even if the difficulty spikes out of nowhere sometimes. If you’re into retro platformers with a gothic twist, it’s worth a play—just don’t expect it to be as polished as the SNES version.
