Okay, so this is one of those old-school Game Boy platformers where you play as Gomez Addams—yes, the mustachioed, suit-wearing weirdo from the movies. The whole thing feels like a fever dream: you’re jumping over floating coffins, dodging random traps in the mansion, and fighting off Tully Alford’s goons (because of course the family lawyer is the villain).
It’s janky in that classic early-90s way—hit detection’s a little wonky, and some jumps feel like pure luck—but there’s charm in the weirdness. The music’s got that eerie carnival vibe, and the sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed for a Game Boy cart. Just don’t expect it to play like a modern platformer. You’ll probably die a lot figuring out what’s a platform and what’s just background decor.
If you’re into retro games or Addams Family nostalgia, it’s a fun little time capsule. Otherwise, maybe stick to the movies.
