Okay, so Addams Family on Game Boy is this weirdly charming little platformer where you mostly play as Gomez, bouncing around the mansion like a goth pinball. The controls take a second to get used to—he’s got this floaty jump that feels off at first, but once you figure out the timing, you’re ricocheting off walls and chandeliers like a pro.
The levels are packed with secret rooms and weird little details—Wednesday’s dollhouse is way creepier than it has any right to be, and Pugsley’s toy tank actually shoots at you. And yeah, you’ll definitely get stuck a few times trying to figure out where to go next, but stumbling into a hidden passage or accidentally summoning Thing to help you is half the fun.
It’s janky in that classic Game Boy way, but if you’re into the Addams Family vibe—dark humor, weird puzzles, and a soundtrack that sounds like a haunted carnival—it’s a solid time. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
