Okay, so A Bug's Life on N64 is way better than it has any right to be. You play as Flik, this tiny ant who somehow gets stuck doing all the work—first hauling food for the colony, then accidentally wrecking everything and having to fix his mess. Classic underdog stuff.
The grasshoppers are total jerks, obviously, and you spend most of the game sneaking around, tossing seeds at them, or recruiting weird bug allies like that circus crew from the movie. The levels are these big, colorful ant-hill dioramas with hidden stuff everywhere—took me forever to realize you could knock down certain leaves to make bridges.
It’s got that old-school collectathon vibe where you’re always one berry short of unlocking the next area, but the puzzles are simple enough that kids won’t get stuck (mostly). Also, Flik’s little panic run when he’s about to fall? Still hilarious. Definitely a solid pick if you’re into lighthearted platformers or just miss late-’90s Disney magic.
