Man, 1080 Snowboarding was one of those N64 games that just felt good to play. You pick a rider—I always went for the dude with the red jacket—and then you're bombing down these insane slopes, carving through powder while trying not to eat snow on the jumps. The physics actually make sense, which is rare for an early snowboarding game—lean too far forward and you'll faceplant, but nail the timing and you pull off these smooth 360s or grabs.
What really stuck with me were the weather changes. One run it's clear skies, next thing you know you're racing in a blizzard with snow whipping across the screen. The courses have this great mix of tight forest trails and wide-open halfpipes, and the sound of your board scraping ice still lives in my head. It's not just about speed either—you gotta balance tricks with clean landings if you want to top the leaderboards.
Even now, the way the riders wipe out is weirdly satisfying. Total nostalgia trip.
