You control a student navigating a high school overrun by the undead. Your main goal is to survive the night and find a way to escape the campus. The game uses a screen by screen exploration system, moving you from one fixed area to the next as you clear out enemies. You fight with a variety of makeshift weapons, like a baseball bat or a slingshot, and you need to search classrooms and lockers for health items and ammunition. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty comes from managing your limited resources while being surrounded.
