Zero Wing is one of those games where the intro is way more memorable than the actual gameplay. You know the one—"All your base are belong to us." Yeah, that legendary bad translation overshadows everything else about it.

It's a pretty standard side-scrolling shooter from '89—fly left to right, blast waves of enemies, dodge bullets. The ship controls are stiff, and some of the levels drag on, but there's a weird charm to it. The bosses are massive, at least, and the music has that classic Sega Genesis synth sound.

Honestly? Play it once for the meme, then go back to something like Thunder Force III if you want a better shooter on the system.
