If you're into Yu-Gi-Oh!, this DS game is basically the ultimate time sink. You start off with a basic deck—nothing fancy—but after a few duels against NPCs, you quickly realize how deep the card pool goes. There are over 4,200 cards to mess around with, and some of the newer Synchro monsters are just brutal if you build around them right.
The story mode follows the 5D's anime, so you’ll be riding around on motorcycles (yes, really) while dueling, which sounds ridiculous but somehow works. The AI isn’t pushover-level either—some of the later duels actually make you think about your combos instead of just spamming the same overpowered cards.
Honestly, half the fun is just tweaking your deck between matches, trying out weird archetypes to see what clicks. I wasted way too much time on a janky Reptile deck before finally admitting it wasn’t going to work. Still, no regrets.
If you’ve got a DS and even a passing interest in card games, this one’s worth the grind.
