Wrestle War (japan) (beta) Game

Wrestle War is one of those early Sega Genesis brawlers that feels like stepping into a smoky arcade in 1989. You play as Bruce Blade, this rookie wrestler with a mullet that absolutely refuses to stay in place during matches. The controls are simple—grab, punch, suplex—but the AI opponents actually put up a decent fight, especially when you hit the later tournaments.
What I love is how over-the-top the animations are. There’s this one move where you just yeet the other guy halfway across the ring, and the crowd goes nuts. The sprites are chunky and full of personality, even if the referee looks like he’d rather be anywhere else. It’s not the deepest wrestling sim, but for a quick, chaotic match, it still holds up.
Just don’t expect a career mode or anything—this is pure arcade action, no frills attached.
