World of Illusion - Fushigi na Magic Box is one of those weirdly charming Disney platformers from the Genesis era. You play as Mickey or Donald (or both in co-op) getting sucked into this magic box full of trippy, dreamlike levels—think giant playing cards, living toys, and floating islands straight out of a kid’s imagination. The art style’s got that soft, pastel Disney look, but don’t let it fool you—some of those platforming sections get sneaky.
What’s cool is how the game changes depending on whether you pick Mickey or Donald. Mickey’s got this floaty cape glide, while Donald... well, he waddles faster but can’t glide for crap. Co-op’s where it really shines though—you’re constantly helping each other, like using Mickey’s magic carpet to ferry Donald across gaps. The music’s this weird mix of whimsical and slightly eerie, which fits perfectly when you’re jumping through a level made of giant, living storybooks.
It’s short, but there’s something about the vibe that sticks with you—like playing through a lost Disney cartoon from another dimension.
