World Heroes on the Sega Genesis is basically a scrappy, slightly janky port of ADK's Neo Geo fighter—but that's part of the charm. You get these wild historical figures duking it out: ninjas, wrestlers, even Joan of Arc throwing fireballs. The sprites are chunky, the hits feel heavy, and some of the moves are just ridiculous (looking at you, Rasputin and your floating carpet attack).
It's not as polished as Street Fighter, but there's something fun about how over-the-top it is. The stages have hazards that can knock you out cold, and the announcer yells "PERFECT" in this hilariously exaggerated way. If you're into 90s fighters with weird rosters and questionable balance, this one's a time capsule.
