Wimbledon Championship Tennis (beta) Game

Wimbledon Championship Tennis on the Genesis is one of those early sports games that actually holds up okay. It's not flashy, but the controls are solid—you've got your basic shots like lobs and slices, and the players move with a decent sense of weight. The courts look a little flat, but hey, it was 1993.
What surprised me was how playable it still is. Matches feel quick, and the AI isn’t completely brain-dead—they’ll actually punish you if you keep serving to the same spot. I wish the crowd did more than just sit there, but the umpire calling the score in that classic digitized voice kinda makes up for it.
If you dig old-school tennis games, this one’s a solid serve-and-volley pick.
