Wild Snake (Beta) is one of those Sega Genesis puzzlers that looks simple at first—just drop blocks, make chains, clear the board—but after a few rounds, you realize how sneaky the difficulty gets. The controls are tight, and the block colors pop against that classic CRT-style grid. I kept thinking "one more try" as the speed ramped up.

It’s got that early '90s vibe where the mechanics aren’t overcomplicated, but you still catch yourself leaning forward when the screen starts filling up. The beta version feels a little rough around the edges (some sound effects cut abruptly), but that almost adds to the charm. If you’ve ever lost an afternoon to Tetris or Columns, this’ll scratch the same itch.
