About Wayne's World
Wayne's World hit the Sega Genesis in 1993, a time when movie tie-ins were a common sight on the platform. Published by THQ and developed by Radical Entertainment, it arrived right in the middle of the 16-bit era's love for licensed games.
You control Wayne, navigating through side-scrolling levels that take you from a chaotic backstage area to the bizarre interior of a donut factory. Your main goal is to rescue Garth, who gets repeatedly snatched by a giant purple hand. You punch and jump on enemies, collect cassette tapes to earn extra lives, and find special items like the "Noah's Arcade" token for a bonus stage. The game moves at a quick pace, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially during some of the platforming sections. It feels like a frantic race against a silly but persistent antagonist.
