About Wwf Royal Rumble
WWF Royal Rumble came out for the Sega Genesis in 1993, developed by Sculptured Software and published by Flying Edge. It was one of the better wrestling games on the system at the time, arriving when the 16-bit console wars were in full swing and arcade-style sports games were common. You could pick from a roster of WWF wrestlers like Randy Savage and The Undertaker, each with their own basic moveset.
You control one wrestler in a one-on-one match or the namesake Royal Rumble mode, where the main goal is to throw opponents over the top rope until you are the last one standing. Signature mechanics include the grapple system, where you lock up with an opponent and then input commands to perform slams or slaps, and the momentum-based Irish whip, which sends a wrestler rebounding from the ropes. The pacing is fast and a bit stiff, with the difficulty spiking sharply if you face multiple opponents at once in the rumble. It feels like a chaotic scramble where one mistake can send your wrestler tumbling out of the ring for an instant elimination.
