Virtual Pinball on the Genesis is one of those games that nails the arcade feel without needing a cabinet. The second you launch it, you get that classic silver ball bouncing around, flippers snapping—it’s simple, but the physics actually feel pretty solid for a 16-bit game. Tilt too hard and you’ll get the warning, just like the real thing.
It’s not flashy by today’s standards, but the table designs have this weird charm—bright colors, cheesy sound effects, the whole deal. I kept going back to the space-themed one because the bumpers had this satisfying thunk when you nailed them. Not gonna lie, it’s easy to lose half an hour just chasing multipliers.
If you’ve got a soft spot for retro pinball or just want something straightforward to zone out with, this one holds up better than you’d expect.
