About Virtual Bart
Virtual Bart came out for the Sega Genesis in 1994, developed by Sculptured Software and published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of many licensed games from that period, aiming to capitalize on the popularity of The Simpsons on a console known for its action platformers.
You control Bart Simpson through a series of disconnected, often bizarre mini games. The main objective is simply to survive each stage, which range from controlling a runaway baby carriage to playing basketball as a giant, mutated Bart. Signature mechanics include the screen by screen platforming of the "Bartzilla" level and the projectile vomiting in the school science fair. The game is notoriously difficult, with unforgiving controls and instant death traps appearing with little warning.
