Ultraman on the Sega Genesis is one of those side-scrolling beat 'em ups that feels like you're playing an episode of the show—if the show had way more punching. You start off with these basic punches and kicks, but after a few levels, you unlock the iconic Specium Ray, which is basically your "delete this monster" button if you time it right.

The monsters look like they jumped straight out of the old rubber-suit era, which is either charming or hilarious depending on your mood. Some of them are total pushovers, but others? Yeah, good luck with that. The second stage boss had me stuck for way longer than I'd like to admit.

It's not the deepest fighter out there, but there's something satisfying about tossing a kaiju around like a ragdoll. Just don't expect a smooth ride—some of those later levels get brutal. Still, if you grew up with Ultraman, this is basically nostalgia in cartridge form.
