Twinkle Tale came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, developed by Wonder Amusement Studio. You control a young magician on a quest to rescue a kidnapped princess. The game plays from a top-down perspective, moving screen by screen through forests, caves, and castles. The main goal involves exploring these areas, defeating bosses, and gathering the pieces of a magical crest. The pacing is fairly brisk, though some enemy patterns and boss fights require quick reflexes.
