True Lies on the Genesis is basically you playing as Arnold Schwarzenegger doing Arnold Schwarzenegger things—shooting bad guys, jumping through windows, and occasionally riding a horse through a hotel lobby (yes, really). It’s got that classic '90s movie tie-in vibe where the controls are a little stiff, but blowing up terrorists with grenades never gets old.
The first level drops you right into a shootout in some fancy party, and honestly, it takes a minute to get used to the weird diagonal aiming. Once you figure it out though, mowing down goons with the shotgun feels satisfying in that old-school way. Just don’t expect the plot to make much sense—it’s more about the chaos than the story.
If you’re into cheesy action games with questionable hit detection but tons of explosions, this one’s a weirdly fun time. Just watch out for the helicopter boss—that thing’s brutal.
