Transformers: Decepticons on DS is basically you playing as the bad guys for once—and it’s way more fun than it should be. You start off smashing through cities as a jet or tank, switching between vehicle and robot mode mid-combat like it’s nothing. The controls take a second to click, but once they do, you’re blasting Autobots off rooftops and wrecking everything in sight.
Missions mix straight-up brawling with some sneaky sabotage stuff—like, one minute you’re sniping from a highway overpass, the next you’re rampaging through downtown in full robot form. The story’s cheesy in that classic Transformers way, but the voice clips and cutscenes actually make it feel like you’re part of some ridiculous alien war. Just don’t expect deep strategy—this is all about chaotic robot carnage with a Decepticon flavor.
Also, pro tip: Megatron’s fusion cannon is stupidly overpowered, and I’m totally here for it.
