About Transformers - Decepticons
Transformers: Decepticons was a Nintendo DS game from 2007, released by Activision. It came out during a time when the handheld was full of movie tie-ins, and this one let you play as the villains from the 2007 live-action film. It was a companion to the Autobots version, offering the other side of the conflict right in your pocket.
You control a customizable Decepticon, starting from a lowly drone and working your way up the ranks. The main goal is to complete missions for Megatron, which usually involve destroying Autobots and causing chaos across various urban and industrial environments. The gameplay is built on a few key mechanics: you drive or fly through semi-open areas, transform between vehicle and robot modes to navigate and fight, and scavenge for parts to upgrade your character's weapons and armor. The missions are straightforward, and the difficulty feels manageable, more about causing destruction than solving complex puzzles. It feels satisfying to smash through city blocks and overpower Autobot patrols with your growing arsenal.
