Tougiou King Colossus is one of those weird, obscure Genesis/Mega Drive games that never made it out of Japan—until some dedicated folks patched it into English. It’s a side-scrolling beat 'em up with a fantasy twist, where you pick from four beefy warriors (including a dude who looks like he bench-presses dragons) and smash through waves of monsters.
The controls are simple—just punch, jump, and a special attack—but the enemies come at you fast, and some of the bosses are absolute tanks. The pixel art’s got that classic early '90s charm, all exaggerated muscles and flashy spell effects. Honestly, the translation’s a little rough in spots, but it’s way better than squinting at kanji mid-combo.
If you’re into forgotten arcade-style brawlers, this one’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect anything deep—it’s pure, dumb monster-punching chaos.
