Okay, so Tomb Raider: Legend on DS is basically Lara Croft’s greatest hits squeezed into a tiny cartridge. You start off scaling some crumbling ruins—classic Lara—before getting into shootouts with mercenaries who clearly didn’t get the memo about not messing with her. The controls take a sec to get used to (that touchscreen whip-swinging feels weird at first), but once it clicks, you’re flipping between ledges and blasting bad guys like it’s nothing.
The puzzles are actually pretty clever for a handheld port—none of that “push the obvious block” nonsense. One minute you’re aligning ancient mechanisms, the next you’re dodging spike traps like an archaeologist ninja. And yeah, the graphics are a bit chunky (it is the DS), but there’s something charming about watching Lara backflip in pixelated glory. Just don’t expect the full console experience—this is more like a pocket-sized adrenaline shot.
If you’ve got a soft spot for early 2000s action-adventure vibes, this one’s a solid time-killer between bus rides.
