Tom and Jerry: Frantic Antics is one of those weirdly charming Genesis games where the usual enemies team up—this time to rescue their buddy Robyn. You switch between them on the fly, using Tom’s brute strength to smash obstacles or Jerry’s tiny size to sneak through gaps. The levels are packed with classic cartoon chaos: springs launch you across rooms, anvils drop out of nowhere, and yeah, you’ll definitely get hit by a frying pan at least once.
It’s got that early ‘90s platformer jank—some jumps feel a little stiff, and the enemy patterns take getting used to—but the art style nails the slapstick energy of the cartoons. Also, the music? Surprisingly catchy. You’ll hum the carnival level tune for days.
