Thunder Fox is one of those classic Genesis action games that doesn’t get enough love. You play as a commando taking down terrorists—standard '90s stuff—but the controls are tight, and the levels throw everything at you: jeep chases, helicopter fights, even a weird jet ski section. The Japanese version has slightly different enemy placements, so if you’ve played the US release, it’s worth a look just for that.

First level drops you right into a jungle with grenades and machine guns, and by the time you reach the boss, you’re already sweating. The music’s got that crunchy Genesis sound, too—all bass and attitude. Not the deepest game, but it’s pure arcade fun if you like your action fast and loud.
